“The installation connects the palpable, the perceivable and the imaginable, creating a relational field in which the passerby as well as the aware viewer is implied in a matrix of looking and being looked at.” Event Horizon

JIA: Home

Design and China are not wellsuited bedfellows, but times they are a changing...at a pace. The design company JIA (chinese for Home) are producing some gorgeous tableware using established overseas designers.  We love most products that combine wood (bamboo here) and porcelain. The texture contrast is lovely.

Feeling the need to fish the frozen North? Climb a mountain? Survive the Arctic? Or just prepare for the next blizzard and breakdown on the M1! Then the only clothing worth considering is Didriksons the market leader in functional clothing for all ages. And for the kids get their footwear from a Vincent Shoe Store. They only do kids shoes and they are the best.

Say (Hard) Cheese!

At just under £9000 from the mayfair store my piggy bank won't cover it. It would just make me so snap-happy! Guess I'll have to stick with the Polaroid...

Wendell Castle

The grand-daddy of art-furniture, Wendell Castle's collections are sublime. The moulded brash plastics of the 60s have given way to these more mother-earth pieces. The will require deep pockets but a chair recently sold for £125 000, and what price beauty?
