Design and China are not wellsuited bedfellows, but times they are a a pace. The design company JIA (chinese for Home) are producing some gorgeous tableware using established overseas designers.  We love most products that combine wood (bamboo here) and porcelain. The texture contrast is lovely.

I need to persuade Bill to part with his beloved motorbike so that I can snatch up one of these gorgeous limited edition Leica 35mm cameras (only 100 of each colour available). At just under £9000 from the mayfair store my piggy bank won't cover it. It would just make me so snap-happy! Guess I'll have to stick with the Polaroid...

Wendell Castle

The grand-daddy of art-furniture, Wendell Castle's collections are sublime. The moulded brash plastics of the 60s have given way to these more mother-earth pieces. The will require deep pockets but a chair recently sold for £125 000, and what price beauty?
